Hope High School Auditorium & Cupola Restoration
Historic School Restoration
“”
Providence Public Schools identified the need to modernize the historic auditorium at Hope High School, originally constructed in 1936, while preserving its architectural character. StudioJAED led the transformation as part of a comprehensive $20 million renovation, culminating in a ribbon-cutting on June 21, 2023. Delivered in collaboration with Shawmut Design and Construction and additional partners, the project introduced cutting-edge acoustics, lighting, and sound systems while maintaining the building’s historic integrity. The work earned a 2024 Preservation Award from the Providence Preservation Society, recognizing the successful integration of preservation and modern innovation.
