As an element of Phase II of the Red Clay Consolidated School District's (RCCSD) Major Capital Plan development, the District determined that it would be necessary to complete a long-range strategy to address present and future requirements for each of their 25 existing facilities and also focus on future additional facility requirements. As a result, the District retained StudioJAED to perform an architectural and engineering assessment of all of their 2.7 million square feet of existing facilities and provide a deliverable that was dynamic with respect to prioritization of specific requirements.
In order to provide the District with a deliverable that encompassed all of their requirements, the StudioJAED team performed a complete on-site evaluation of each of its facilities including verification of existing facility space configurations, development of an inventory of all mechanical and electrical building assets, evaluations with respect to physical deficiencies and associated corrections and District staff interviews to determine additional facility requirements such as additional space requirements. StudioJAED then provided the District with the assessment results in a quantified database format that could be queried with respect to location, priority, correction type and cost.
