StudioJAED provided a comprehensive site facilities audit that included drawing verifications and AutoCAD support for the New School University in New York, New York. The scope of work entailed a full facility assessment of all seven of the university's academic divisions. In order to identify current educational space usage and future needs, StudioJAED's facility assessment included on-site verification and data integration to support the school's master planning program.
New School University's scope of work also included the integration of campus planning databases "linked" to CAD drawings. This feature provides a graphical view of key information about individual spaces and greatly enhances Master Planning efforts. StudioJAED developed a comprehensive database for crucial campus operational areas.
Information pertaining to each of these specific areas was updated in a database and immediately reflected in labels on the CAD drawings. Unique space labels for each category were created on individual CAD layers which enabled New School University to tailor the base plans.
