Providence Public Schools Warm Safe & Dry

  • Project: Providence Public Schools Warm Safe & Dry
  • Districtwide Renovations & Additions
  • Square Footage: 2,700,000 square feet
  • Scope of Work:The Warm, Safe & Dry program at Providence Public Schools in Providence, Rhode Island, which is led by StudioJAED and Gilbane Building Company, has continued to grow since its inception in 2005. The program is a series of infrastructure enhancements made to secure existing building envelopes and tackle top priority building needs that affect the health and welfare of the buildings’ occupants.
  • StudioJAED and our consultants have provided design services, and together with Gilbane, have provided programming for numerous renovation projects. Areas addressed by the Warm, Safe & Dry program include boiler controls, elevator upgrades, structural decking repairs, door hardware replacements, Fire Marshal issues including alarms, sprinklers, smoke and fire ratings, and egress. We also assisted in ensuring that high schools which were under evaluation met necessary facility standards to receive accreditation from the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.
